Description: The Plantation Bay WWTP treatment plant’s treatment process equipment is at the end of its useful life and requires replacement. The Phase II Improvements project will provide a precast, post-tensioned concrete extended aeration facility inclusive of a new digester, aeration basin and clarifier as the primary biological treatment process. The project will provide Class I reliability and increase plant capacity. Design and permitting of the project are complete. The project has been divided into two separate projects. Phase A of the project is construction of the precast, post-tension concrete extended basin facility. Phase B of the project is the civil, mechanical, electrical and instrumentation portion of the project. Phase A bids were received on March 23rd. Subsequently, the extended aeration facility was awarded to Mack Industries, Inc. FGUA anticipates the concrete basin to be completed by the end of 2023. The remaining mechanical and electrical components are to be installed by July 31, 2023. Phase B of the project will be released for bid in December ’23.
