The Florida Governmental Utility Authority’s (FGUA’s) Carlton Village Water System in Lake County was named “Best in State” during the annual Florida Rural Water Association (FRWA) Best Tasting Water Contest. The contest was held on Tuesday, August 9 during the 2022 FRWA Confernce in Daytona Beach. Approximately 30 water utilities entered the contest. Gary Kissick, representing the FGUA at the conference, received the award.
The Carlton Village system is a water-only utility system, located 2.5 miles northeast of the Town of Lady Lake on Oakridge Drive, between Magnolia Street and Hibiscus Way. The system services 265 water customers, producing an average flow of approximately 117,000 gallons per day.
The FGUA will advance to the the National Best Tasting Water Contest in Washington, D.C. scheduled for February.
