Monday, February 20th, 2023

*UPDATE: (Lehigh Acres) The Precautionary Boil Water Notice issued (February 16th, 2023) to 300 customer connections following a 6-inch water main break at the Majestic Golf Club community, is no longer in effect.  Notice is being issued to all affected customer via door hanger and phone notice.

All biological testing samples were negative and therefore you may resume water usage as normal. The samples were analyzed by a Florida Department of Health-certified laboratory that confirmed the drinking water is safe to drink.

The FGUA would like to apologize for any inconvenience you may have experienced during this time and thank you for your patience during the Precautionary Boil Water Notice period. We appreciate your assistance in notifying your neighbors that the Precautionary Boil Water Advisory is no longer in effect.

UPDATE : (Lehigh Acres) The 6-inch water main break occurring at 350 Homestead Road, in the Majestic Golf Club Community has been repaired and water service restored.  Notification to all affected customers was hand delivered by door tag and by phone notification. 

All affected customers are now under a Precautionary Boil Water Notice Advisory. Water samples are being taken to a Florida Department of Health-certified laboratory, the advisory will be rescinded once water samples indicate the water is safe to drink, most likely by Monday, February 20th, 2023.

Thursday, February 16th, 2023

(Lehigh Acres) The Florida Governmental Utility (FGUA) has received a report of a 6-inch water main break at 350 Homestead Road, in the Majestic Golf Club Community.  Approximately 300 residential homes will be affected and without water.  Crews are on site and an investigation of the cause is underway.  Services are anticipated to be restored in approximately 4 hours.

The affected customers will be under a Precautionary Boil Water Notice Advisory once repairs are completed. Water samples will be taken and submitted to a Florida Department of Health-certified laboratory, the advisory will be rescinded once water samples indicate the water is safe to drink, most likely by Monday, February 20th, 2023.
